A shout-out to our incredible emergency services teams. We had a family health scare last week, and our kind, reassuring fire and rescue professionals, then the paramedics, arrived within minutes to care for us. A huge dose of gratitude to those who choose to serve our community in these trying lines of work, which must take such a toll personally - but fill such a critical community need. Thank goodness we live in Canada and get the care we need, when we need it, free of charge - and thank you to the doctors, nurses, firefighters and paramedics who sacrifice so much to make sure we can all live healthy and full lives.
