Forest survey disappointing

I would like to lend my voice in support of comments made recently by Carol Money regarding the North Cowichan’s Municipal Forest Survey. I also tried to fill out this survey and was very disappointed to find out that it was constructed in a way that forced me to make choices that I was not in favour of if I wanted to complete the survey.

In a real, honest, open world, a survey like this would never have been constructed in this manner. Whomever is responsible for this survey needs to restructure it so people can fill it out as they want. Then the results will truly reflect the will of the people.

Come on Municipality of North Cowichan elected officials, you’ve spent all the money on this project already, a simple adjustment to the survey and reposting it so we can fill it out properly is all that’s needed. As it stands the results you’ve collected from the survey do not reflect what people truly feel about our forest reserve.

If you choose not to fix this survey, we will be left to assume that you have your own agenda and could care less what your constituents feel about the municipal forest reserve. So here is a great and simple opportunity for you to develop some confidence and trust in the people you serve.
