We had breakfast at Brunch on Third a few days ago. Opposite us at a large table was a contingent of eight or so RCMP officers, just finishing up their meal.
A waitress informed them that a customer had paid for their breakfast.
The look of astonishment on the chief's face was a picture.
After a brief discussion, the officers opened their wallets and contributed to a kitty, which was taken to the waitress, to pass it forward.
