If you want change vote for new councillors

I really get annoyed reading letters like the one published by George Spong, shooting from the hip, making no common sense at all.

Maybe George’s temper is at an all time high, but the City of Duncan had a election on Oct. 15, 2022.

The taxpayers of Duncan had their chance to vote in new councillors to Duncan city council. They refused this option and voted one councillor out and voted one new councillor in.

Blame the City of Duncan taxpayers for having ongoing, never ending property tax increases year after year.

In comparison, the City of Port Alberni had the same problem.

In the Oct. 15, 2022 election the Port Alberni taxpayers voted four councillors out and voted four new councillors in hoping that city council decision making will change.

The rule of thumb. Vote in new councillors. Stop your bickering.

Unbelievable!
