Opinions of famous just like anyone else’s
It was interesting how actors/performers are somehow elevated to special status when they support a particular cause. Sometimes they are being paid to support a cause or event. Other times they are expressing their own opinion. An opinion is something we all have, and we have a right to express those opinions, and we have an obligation to respect other people’s opinions and views whether we agree with them or not.
Hence Mr. Shatner’s opinion on old growth forest is just that, his opinion; that is all. He is a privileged 90-year-old white guy who lives in a mansion in California and is good at his trade of acting. He also got to ride into space compliments of Jeff Bezos, another old rich guy who can afford those kinds of trips for his friends. So keep in mind that his opinion is no better or worse than anyone else’s.
