Perhaps a one-way loop around Duncan corridor?

Perhaps a month ago, there was an opinion expressed about an alternative route to bypass Duncan. In exhaustive terms, reviewing all of the possible routes around Duncan and the correct assumptions that none were anywhere near plausible, the readers were left with nothing useful to consider.

Only a couple of days ago, I took advantage of the situation (early afternoon) to time my passage through Duncan from Allenby Road to Beverly Street. Eight minutes and two stops! Nothing to cry about and not even close to what other drivers have reported. “It took forever with all of the lights.”

Let’s be fair, it is the established route, however because of its nature, Duncan has expanded eastward to the highway and beyond to the point where most citizens will assume that the town is now the six to eight blocks of the highway between the Silver Bridge and Beverly Street.

Regardless, the setbacks attached to the highway could provide some of the area that may be needed to develop the required sub-lanes for left and right turns but that being said, why have the road wizards (planners) not considered a couple of streets to be re-routed to a one-way loop?

For example, Trunk Road becomes east bound and Beverly Street would be the westerly route as far east Lakes Road.

Is it difficult? Just ask the city of Victoria? I grew up as a novice driver experiencing the change from two way to single way driving with the changes of Fort Street and Yates Street. It was not that difficult for the drivers and I doubt any dramatic hardships were experienced by the planners either.
