Provincial governments giving rebates
Due to high gas prices and high inflation rates, some provinces are giving out rebates to help the provincial taxpayers.
In Alberta, the government has reduced gasoline taxes, and is giving a one time rebate of $150 off their hydro bills.
After seven years, the Saskatchewan government is the first province in Canada to return to a balanced budget.
As the budget is balanced, all Saskatchewan taxpayers will be receiving a rebate cheque of $500.
The Manitoba government has stated that Manitoban taxpayers will also be receiving a rebate cheque.
The Ontario government has also reduced the tax on gasoline.
The New Brunswick government is lowering the income tax rates to help out New Brunswick taxpayers.
Here in B.C. all insurers with ICBC received a $110 rebate cheque.
