Rebate a joke

Minister,

This announcement about a rebate to help with the price of gas is a joke. For many, it might pay for a fill up. You won’t reduce gas taxes, because governments just loves taxes, and you won’t reduce the carbon tax. Where are we, as seniors, to find the monies to meet all of your demands?

Those who can afford an electric vehicle, who are mostly in the higher income tax bracket, are being catered to by your government with rebates for purchasing one. They are going to receive the rebate also and they are not paying for roads. Plus, they get free charging, at our expense.

When will you see the light? We can’t keep funding the rich. They should be funding us. You are hurting the lower income, seniors, the working poor and all the trades and companies that keep this province functioning, in spite of government meddling.

So much for looking out for the little person. We are just peons, so we don’t matter.

Disgruntled,

Ed Aiken
