Dear Cowichan School District trustees and Premier David Eby:
The dangers of fact-dummied sites such as Facebook and X are astonishing.
Another example of why we successfully lobbied our board and the province to ban cellphone use — and access to fictionally based social media — in our precious classrooms.
We urge our board to consult Cowichan’s aware teachers and parents about the wisdom and utility of allowing students any school-time access to such politically swayed social media if fact-checking is now admittedly absent.
