Worth the trip to support struggling theatre
Last night I attended an amazing production called “Country Roads” at the Chemainus Theatre. It was funny, entertaining, and professional. Beautiful voices, great music, well choreographed.
The performers were outstanding. I know country music is not for everyone, but this is a great revue of the development of the genre. And sadly, the audience was small. The theatre is struggling back to its feet after COVID restrictions and needs our support.
I appreciate people are also struggling with increases to the cost of living, but if you can afford it, or as a treat for yourself or guests, try to attend this show. The theatre has been providing employment in the community for over 25 years — it needs our support now.
