NDP support on the decline across Canada

Recent June 2016 polls show that support for the federal NDP is on a huge decline.

Recent June 2016 polls show that support for the federal NDP is on a huge decline.

The poll finds support for the NDP is 18 per cent in B.C., 7.5 per cent in Alberta, 12.7 per cent in the prairie provinces, 11.4 per cent in Ontario, 15.2 per cent in Quebec, and 13.3 per cent in Atlantic Canada.

Putting these percentages into number of seats would give the federal NDP 12 seats in the federal parliament. Presently they have 44 seats.

The federal NDP won 103 seats in the 2011 federal election dropping 57.2 per cent of these seats in 2015 down to 44, and the recent poll would drop them down another 72.7 per cent to 12 seats.

With 7.5 per cent NDP support in Alberta, now proves that the provincial NDP government in Alberta will make history once again of being a one term NDP government just like it was in B.C., Ontario, and Nova Scotia.
