Politicians just keep taking from seniors
Senior citizens. We have become a valued part of the government system; it is the revenue that they have decided to extract out of our threadbare pockets, with, I may add, impunity, that supports much of the slush fund program.
During our working (for pay) lives we have saved scrupulously for our retirement years so that we may enjoy the results of all that labour. The 60 or more hours a week, etc. that we laboured meant nothing to those parliamentarians, who I venture to suggest, never hardened the skin on their palms, at any time.
Yet, once the currency began rolling in (to be in their care) why the sky is the limit!
Much like play money, can you imagine being washed down with shekels galore?
Oh, it’s like being in seventh heaven for eternity. Because we know there is more where that came from; that is why we really like you old farts because you love giving!
You saved up for that express purpose, now did you not?
Proceeding further, our voices always seem to echo in the wind when we ask pertinent questions regarding how “our” money is being used/handled. We of course are the silent majority who once wished for better things, yet to no avail! Still, we have the seasons to look forward to, at the least, politicians can’t interfere in this area.
Will it ever be thus, our carping against the politicians riding the surf of popularity, braggadocio with every lip movement about what we can do for you; or is it to us?
Somewhere there must be a connection, between them and us old farts.
