Religion has no place in human rights discussions
Religion has absolutely no place in discussion of individuals’ human rights, or in politics and law.
I see it argued far too often that it goes “against God” for LGBTQ folks to be able to marry and for transgender people to, well, just EXIST.
Your personal religious beliefs are not a reason to remove human rights from groups you don’t agree with. Your belief that being gay or trans is “immoral” is just that: your belief. It has zero basis in fact. Do Muslims who don’t eat pork expect the entire world to follow suit? No. Religion has zero place in politics and should never define who should have human rights.
You would also do well to remember that the Bible says absolutely nothing about transgender people. You don’t have to like or agree with something. No one can make you and that’s your right. What isn’t your right is to remove the rights and freedoms of others.
It does not affect you whatsoever how others live their lives as long as they are not causing harm to other people. You can still live as you wish. Let them do the same.
