Like Mr. Gerbis, I am also concerned about the proposed bridge [Bridge would be “assault” on marsh, Citizen, March 30] as I believe it will lead to continued degradation to Somenos Creek and the marsh.
Over the years, I have found myself questioning the decisions of both North Cowichan and the Somenos Marsh Society as I have witnessed a very rapid destruction of a viable marsh ecosystem. It is time for a different approach to bring the marsh ecosystem back to health to support fish and other aquatic life.
