Trudeau’s campaign promise: a con job?

P.M. Justin Trudeau thinks that people don’t care that we still have the unjust first past the post/winner take all election process

Was Justin Trudeau’s campaign promise for election reform just a con job?

P.M. Justin Trudeau thinks that people don’t care that we still have the unjust first past the post/winner take all election process that puts a majority government in Ottawa with as little as 39 per cent of the vote.

He thinks that now that we got rid of Harper, we’re all happy. I don’t think so!

A majority government put in by the first past the post system is more like a dictatorship. One of his campaign promises last year was that the 2015 election would be the last one run by that broken system.

It’s important that we hold him to that promise, so that we can have a government that more truly represents the different values of people across this land.

Swindle: a fraudulent scheme or action. (Synonyms: fraud, trick, deception, deceit, cheat, sham, artifice, ruse, dodge, racket, con, ripoff...)

If it turns out that Trudeau’s and the Liberals’ promise to fix the electoral system was a swindle, a con job, then they’ll show themselves to be cons too, just like the other Cons that we got rid of last year.

Please call or write the prime minister’s office and tell them what you think of his trying to worm out of his promise. If you’re angry at being conned, tell them! We need them to know that people care about this!
