We must work together on water conservation

Re: Cowichan River

Catalyst Crofton will manage pumping water from Cowichan Lake into Cowichan River from Aug. 29 until water levels return to normal levels on their own in the autumn.

Catalyst reports that since 1998, 11 droughts in Cowichan basin with this year (2019) the most extreme so far. The 2018/2019 snow pack was half the normal. Climate is changing, has changed. All of us in the Cowichan Valley and area must work together on water conservation.
