The 14th annual Bev Lashman Memorial Charity Golf Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Duncan Meadows Golf and Country Club.

Bev Lashman died of cancer in 1999, and since then, the golf fundraiser and other related initiatives have raised more than $230,000 for a variety of charities, including the Canadian Cancer Society, Camp Goodtimes, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation.

The event has also helped fund playgrounds at the Cowichan Sportsplex and Duncan Sikh Temple, and five chemotherapy patient chairs for the Cowichan District Hospital.

Organizers are still looking for sponsorship for this year’s golf tournament. Hole sponsorships are $150, and all sponsors will receive recognition at the event.

For more information, contact Dave Lashman at 250-715-7704, Karny Dhillon at 250-701-8005, or Garry Dhillon at 250-709-7689.
