Duncan Dynamics gymnast Micaylla Broadway finished her career as the top gymnast in Western Canada.
Earlier this spring, Broadway competed at the Western Canadian Championships at the Richmond Oval.
The first day of competition included the top all-around individuals and teams, and Broadway finished first all-around, while B.C. won the team competition, giving her the title of top gymnast in Western Canada.
The event finals on the second day featured only the top six from each apparatus on the first day of competition. Broadway reached the finals in three events, taking first on bars, fourth on floor and sixth on beam.
“This was an amazing way to end my gymnastics career,” Broadway said. “I will forever treasure this experience and I will miss this sport a lot because it has been a huge part of my life since starting as a little girl.”
