Vancouver Canucks prospects will be back in the Cowichan Valley this year as the NHL team holds its annual development camp at Shawnigan Lake School.

The camp will take place at the school arena from July 4-7. All on-ice sessions will be open to the public.

A full schedule for the camp and a preliminary roster will be announced at a later date. The team’s roster will be comprised primarily of players drafted by Vancouver, including select choices made by the team at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, as well as undrafted collegiate free agents.

The 2015 camp roster included players who went on to skate regularly for the Canucks last season, including defenceman Ben Hutton and forwards Jake Virtanen and Jared McCann, along with other highly regarded hopefuls like Jordan Subban and Cole Cassels and 2016 top draft pick Brock Boeser.
