Caleb Kroffat’s mother Renee, twin brother Ethan, and father Jason were joined at centre ice prior to the Cowichan Valley Capitals season finale by Caps captain Kyle Horsman, Island Savings Centre manager John Elzinga, Capitals team president Cory Wanner and Victoria Grizzlies captain Mark McLellan.
The Caps and the Island Savings Centre honoured Caleb, who collapsed suddenly outside a Caps game last November and later died in hospital, by hanging his minor hockey jersey in the arena.
