Ceevacs journey far and wide for races

Members of the Ceevacs Roadrunners kept busy over the weekend of June 6 and 7, representing the club in races spread over three farflung communities.

On Saturday, June 6, three runners ran either the Whistler Half Marathon or 10K race. Teresa Lewis-Schneider finished first in her age group in the 10K, while her daughter Megan placed first in her age group in the half marathon. Ken DeEll also placed eighth in his age group.

Five of the club's runners ran the North Olympic Half Marathon in Port Angeles on Sunday, June 7. Shannon Lebeuf finished first in her age group, while Catherine Macey and Ben Marrs were third in their respective age groups, Lisa DeLusignan was fourth, and Janet Ruest was seventh.

Also on June 7, Jill Ramstead won the 10K Goddess Run in Victoria. That race was also a family affair for two sets of runners, as Janine Frank and daughter Jaclyn ran the 10K and Brenda Niziol and daughter Hayley ran the 5K.
