More than 40 athletes from the Cowichan Valley will be competing at the 2022 BC Summer Games in Prince George starting this Thursday.
One of those athletes, Jayden Strom, is suiting up for Team Indigenous in box lacrosse — the only sport where there is a separate team for Indigenous players — while the others will be competing for the (Zone 6) Vancouver Island-Central Coast team.
Because the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 event, this is the first BC Summer Games since 2018, when the games were held in the Cowichan Valley.
Rosters are subject to change up until the beginning of the games. The following are Cowichan athletes, coaches and other team staff who are listed as attending the games as part of the Zone 6 team.
