In preparation for the upcoming cross country running season this fall, the Cowichan Valley Athletic Club Jaguars track and field club is adding a cross country running program this summer.

Practices for the new cross country program will he held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m., starting on July 28. The first session will take place at the Cowichan Sportsplex.

“We will be using other locations for future practices to take advantage of the great trail running here in the Cowichan Valley,” CVAC president Todd Blumel noted.

The cross country program is open to current CVAC members and non-members. There is no charge for current members, and a nominal membership fee will be charged to non-members.

The program is open to anyone aged nine and up.
