Duncan Christian Chargers take Central Island volleyball title

Junior boys team headed to Islands this weekend

The Duncan Christian School Chargers are headed into the Island junior boys volleyball championships this weekend as the Central Island champions.

The Chargers defeated the Gulf Islands Secondary Scorpions 25-21, 25-21, 15-25, 25-13 on Wednesday, Nov. 3 to claim the regional title.

The Island tournament will be hosted by Ladysmith Secondary this Friday and Saturday.

The Chargers are coached by Duncan Christian grad Kevin Pridham and staff member Andrew Lacey. Pridham was the setter on the DCS team that won the single-A boys provincial championship in 2002.
