Duncan Christian School’s Connor Hengstler came home from the BC Christian Schools track and field meet in Abbotsford with medals from all three of his events.

Hengstler took silver in the senior boys shot put with a throw of 11.15 m, just 30 cm behind the winner. He also took bronze in discus (29.52 m) and hammer (20.83 m).

Last time the BC Christian track meet took place, in 2019, Hengstler placed third in shot put (10.29 m) and fourth in discus (25.5 m).

Hengstler is one of 14 DCS athletes set to compete in the Central Vancouver Island track meet at the Cowichan Sportsplex this Wednesday. The Island championships will take place on May 18 and 19 at Rotary Stadium in Nanaimo.
