A contingent of 30 Duncan Dynamics gymnasts headed north late last month for the Chimo Gymnastics annual Pajama Party invitational competition, returning home with 20 gold medals, 22 silvers, 17 bronzes, and 73 more ribbons for top-10 placings.

Four Dynamics athletes brought home the top honours with the all-around gold medal for their respective levels: Honey White (Level 2), Shelby Hubenig (Level 3), Cloey Jewkes (Level 4) and Brooklyn Stobbe (Level 8).

Also bringing home gold medals were Norah Dodd (Level 2 bars), Emily Peart (Level 2 bars), Inez Londono (Level 2 beam), Mya Borden (Level 2 vault), Jillian Telfer (Level 4 floor), Caydence Sampson (Level 4 vault), Charcey Erickson (Level 5 vault), Sarah Carson (Level 6 vault), Trystinna Bailey (Level 8 vault) and Tahara Brown (Level 8 vault).

Three more Duncan athletes collected special floor, beam and vault awards. Stobbe won the floor and beam awards for Level 8, Brown won the vault award for Level 8, and Bailey was presented with the floor choreography award for her new jazz routine, choreographed by Dynamics coach Anna Mataganova.

In the end, every Duncan athlete who attended the meet came home with at least a medal or a ribbon.

The Dynamics Interclub team — athletes who showcase their abilities without the pressure of being ranked — also participated in the Pajama Party, each gymnast receiving a participation medal along with other prizes such as the best tumbler award.
