Duncan’s own Luciano Wilson was named one of the B.C. Hockey League’s FortisBC 3 Stars of the Month for March.

Although he missed the first two games of the month, the Penticton Vees forward made enough of an impact in the games he did play to earn second-star honours. Wilson finished the month with 15 points (six goals and nine assists) in just seven contests.

Immediately upon his return to the lineup, Wilson posted eight points in two games, with two goals and three assists against the Trail Smoke Eaters on March 5, and a goal and two helpers against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on March 9. He closed out the month with four points against the Merritt Centennials on the final day of the regular season.

Wilson finishes his fourth year in the league tied for fourth in BCHL scoring with 75 points in 52 games. His 46 assists this year are the third most in the league. Wilson is committed to Minnesota State University next season.

Wilson spent his first two full years in the BCHL with the Cowichan Valley Capitals, recording 75 points in 103 regular-season games and 10 points in 13 playoff contests. Over his four-year career with the Caps and Vees, he has compiled 180 points on 72 goals and 108 assists in 182 games.
