Luciano Wilson will be joining Braden Blace and David Jacobs at the B.C. Hockey League all-star tournament.

Wilson, a Duncan product who now plays for the Penticton Vees, was picked to represent the Interior Conference in the online fan vote for the all-star festivities. Blace, another Cowichan Valley product now skating for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, and Jacobs, a forward with the Cowichan Valley Capitals, were among the original 18 players selected by BCHL coaches.

The all-star tournament is set to take place in Penticton on Jan. 15. Four teams of six skaters and one goalie will play a three-on-three outdoor tournament, with games made up of two seven-minute periods. After the round robin, the second- and third-place teams will meet in the semifinal, with the winner moving on to play the first-place team in the final.

Wilson is currently sixth in league scoring with 31 points on 13 goals and 18 assists in 22 games. The 20-year-old forward is committed to Minnesota State Mankato for next season.

Jacobs leads the Caps with 25 points on nine goals and 16 helpers in 24 games so far this year. The 20-year-old from Needham, Massachusetts is committed to Princeton University for next season.

Blace, 18, is 10th in scoring on the Bulldogs and second among Alberni Valley defencemen with 10 points on one goal and nine assists through 21 games. Blace was also one of 40 players from across the league picked to play in the 2022 Top Prospects Game, held indoors in Penticton the day before the all-star tournament.
