Imperial trio victorious at Canada Day Volleython

The “Empire Spikes Back” team of finished first in the competitive triples division at the Canada Day Volleython.

The “Empire Spikes Back” won the competitive triples division at the Canada Day Volleython.

The “Empire Spikes Back” team of Darian and Joeleen Achurch and Dave Stewart finished first in the competitive triples division at the Canada Day Volleython at Brentwood College School, while the “Heat Seekers,” made up of Martisha Ruddick, Adrien Richardot, Jason Seward and Peter Paul, took top spot in the intermediate mixed fours.

The tournament was sponsored by the Cowichan Outdoor Volleyball League and organized by Cole Whitelaw and Colin Hutchinson. Prizes were donated by Mobil 1 Lube Express in Duncan, Arbutus Ridge Golf Club, Harlequin Nature Graphics, and the Beverly Corners Liquor Store.
