Sullivan paces Crew with three touchdowns

Marilou Sullivan scored three touchdowns, including one off a 50-yard interception return, to lead the Crew to a 51-0 win over the Wild in the Cowichan Women's Football League last Sunday.

Amanda Goncalves added two touchdowns and a convert, and Alita Mattin also scored in the victory. Jessica Lines-Wikkerink had two converts, Morgan Kinahan added one, and Jennie Hittinger recorded an interception.

For the Wild, Sue Glenn, Rhiannon Kemmler and Val Chambers all had interceptions, and Ginette Bilina had two sacks.

In the other Sunday morning game, the Roofco Sirens topped the Blue Steel 25-18, using several interceptions to come back from a deficit to win.

Deanne Mearns and Shelly McKay each had two picks in the win, and Tara McCaffery had one. Mearns also scored three touchdowns, while McKay had one and a convert.

On Sunday afternoon, the Ravens beat the Storm 39-6. Jenna Maureen had two touchdowns, including one where she finished off a 60-yard run by Rikki Wylie. Wylie also had one touchdown, as did Veronica Smith, Kendall Elizabeth and Barbie Smith. Wylie, Veronica Smith and Kelsey Scholz added converts, and Wylie,

Elizabeth and Morgan Rogers had interceptions.

The Storm's lone points came on the first play of the game, when

quarterback Rachel Paddle connected with Miranda Mann for a touchdown. Elia Zanon added an interception in the third quarter.
