A scheduled match between the Vancouver Island Crimson Tide and Seattle Seawolves that might have featured multiple Cowichan Valley rugby players has been cancelled.

The teams were supposed to play at Westhills Stadium on Sunday evening, but the Seawolves informed the Tide on Wednesday that they were unable to honour the commitment.

Piggies Danny Hamstra and Jenner Teufel were invited to train with the Tide ahead of the match, and Duncan’s George Barton is signed to the Seawolves.
