Women’s soccer gets underway this weekend

Masters and Div. 2 teams open at home

After making their first appearance in the provincial championships last spring, the Cowichan Cougars are kicking off their bid for a return engagement.

The Cougars qualified for the Masters Women’s B Cup tournament for the first time in 2018, and made it all the way to the provincial final before falling 1-0 to Meralomas United.

The Cowichan team will return to action this Sunday with a home date at Evans Park at 10 a.m.

The Cowichan Div. 2 women’s team also returns to action this weekend, playing host to Castaways on Friday at 7:30 p.m. on the Sherman Road turf.
