Concert series looking for hosts willing to open their houses

Would you like to host a music concert at your home?

Would you like to host a music concert at your home?

Then you may be interested in an opportunity being presented by the national non-profit arts organization Home Routes.

Their goal is to bring live music performances to rural and remote communities as well as urban centres across Canada “connecting professional artists with audiences.”

Now heading into their ninth concert season, which runs from September to April, they are looking for a limited number of new volunteer hosts.

“Professional programming, artistic excellence, diverse and entertaining performances leave audiences breathless and wanting more,” said Selena Bewsky of Home Routes in a press release. “House concerts are a unique, up close and personal experience; an opportunity to meet the artists, hear the stories behind their songs.”

Concert hosts would provide the venue for six concerts each season. More than 90 acts will tour through 14 regions, reaching an audience of more than 25,000.
