A bright, sunshiny day greeted participants in the Cowichan Hospice’s event A Walk to Remember on Sunday morning.

Walking under the trees at Providence Farm is a popular way to celebrate the lives of those family members and friends who have died or are enduring a terminal illness. It’s also a good way to help raise money for those who are always there to offer support: the Cowichan Hospice Society.

This year walkers were sent on their way into the woods by a group of spirit drummers and were serenaded part way along by Cari Burdett’s compassioinate Threshold Singers, whose gentle melodies carried for quite a distance under the green canopy above.
