Youbou Community Hall was the place to be at Cowichan Lake on Halloween Night for family fun.

A superb Haunted House, costume contests for all ages, hot dogs and hot chocolate, and fireworks combined to make a it an especially memorable evening for everyone.

The winners among the 87 entries in the costume contest were from first to third:

Birth to two years: Charlotte Herrington, Raya Fales, and Adalyn Hayek; Three and four years: Hattie Martin, Sophia Andersen, Fraser Newman; Five and six year olds: Lydia Newman, Winslow Bell, Ava Soler; seven and eight year olds: Addison Merrick, Georgia Blodel, Tristan Andersen; nine and 10 year olds: Lily Allen, Tyler Hamilton, Jay Work; 11 and 12 year olds: Darren Doherty, Ruby Skinner, Gavin Merrick; 13 to 16 year olds: Abby Johnson, Jeremiah Fernandez, Sydney Johnson; 17 and over: Ray Laursen, Sharon Dube, Jamie Hill.
