Pianist Shoko Inoue brings her Gulf Islands tour to the Cowichan Valley with a show at historic St. Michael’s Church in Chemainus on Sunday, July 10, starting at 3 p.m.

“I will be performing an all Beethoven program, including ‘Moonlight Sonata’ ‘Tempest’ and ‘Waldstein Sonata’,” she said.

“It would be wonderful to experience the wide range of Beethoven’s inner travel together. Between each Sonata, we will be reading crucial letters written by Beethoven around the time he was composing that sonata.”

Suggested donation for the performance is $20 per person.
