Cowichan Secondary School went into a ‘Hold and Secure’ situation at 11 a.m. on April 5 after an issue outside of the school that may have involved a pellet gun.

As a safety precaution, doors were kept closed and students kept inside the school while staff and RCMP tended to the situation, a press release from the school district explained.

RCMP searched the area and the incident is still under investigation.

After approximately 30 minutes, the ‘Hold and Secure’ situation ended.
