The CMS Food Bank, which serves Cobble Hill, Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake, has announced its closure for the time being through a post on its website.
“The CMS Food Bank will be temporarily closed,” the post states. “This temporary closure is a precautionary measure for the health and safety of our clients and volunteers.
“We will be re-evaluating this decision over the coming weeks, and will post any changes to our web page: cmsfoodbank.ca
“Thank you for your understanding and support at this time.”
Operating since 1983, the CMS Food Bank served more than 4,000 people last year.
