The victims who died in a Ladysmith fire March 8 have been identified by the BC Coroners Service as Herbert Charles Lainchbury, 56 and Becky Ann Lafontaine, 46.
A neighbour noticed flames coming from the Pictou Road house at about 3:30 a.m. and called 9-1-1. When firefighters arrived the structure was fully involved, said Coroner Barb McLintock in a media release.
When the fire was put out, both residents were found dead inside the building.
