Duncan parade soaks up the sun [video]

The Grande Parade, part of Duncan Daze, was a big hit last weekend, though the weather was sweltering.

Parade-goers tucked themselves in the shade of buildings and umbrellas to watch the huge assortment of entries go by.

In the parade were everyone from the Valley's fire departments to Duncan Mayor Phil Kent, Shriners from organizations up and down the Island to Carlson's and Adagé dancers. The cadets were in fine form, as was musical entry favourite the Cowichan Pipers and Drummers.

Enjoy the Citizen's photo gallery and video from the event.
