Fire destroys house, trailer near Courtenay

Fire broke out around 8 p.m. Saturday

A house and trailer were destroyed by fire Saturday night in Area C of the Comox Valley Regional District.

The fire broke out around 8 p.m. at a residence on Salsbury Road, near Powerhouse and First in the western reaches of Courtenay.

Firefighters contained the blaze in relatively short order.

Residents were home when the blaze broke out, but no one was hurt.
