As of Dec. 19, Cowichan United Way was only 65 per cent of the way to its goal, and was asking Valley residents to be generous to keep valuable programs alive. The target is $230,000, money that goes to support 46 local programs.
"Cowichan is such a great place to live, and it can be made even more special by your contribution," said Mike Murphy, United Way board president.
"I invite everyone who is fortunate to have a good job to help those who are struggling," said Heather Gardiner.
