A hiker on Mount Arrowsmith returned to his car on Saturday morning to find it riddled with bullet holes.
Port Alberni RCMP said the Volkswagen Golf appears to have been shot multiple times by a .22 rifle. "It was disabled, all the tires were flattened, most of the windows shot out," said Cpl. Jen Allan, media relations officer. The car was shot about five or six times, she said. The wrecked vehicle had to be towed out of the gravel lot where it was parked at the base of Mount Arrowsmith. There were no other cars around.
