If there's no water, should we keep expanding?

Ladysmith - Well here we are in the beginning of June talking drought, Stage 3 water restrictions, no watering, washing cars, filling pools for our kids, probably breaking the law making sure the birdbaths are full of clean water for our feathered friends, lawns and gardens dying for lack of a drink. No rain in sight and no solution to what seems to be a worsening condition year after year.

Imagine my total surprise to learn that the Muni and CVRD are handing out building permits as absolutely fast as they can be approved and rubber stamped. This seems to me to be the ultimate solution to drought...build even more buildings to hook to a seriously stretched system. I guess there was something I just didn't quite get while in post secondary education.Gord McAulayLadysmith
