Jones out, Raimondo back as CAO

After a six-year stay as their chief administrative officer, Warren Jones parted ways with the Cowichan Valley Regional District last week.

An announcement from CVRD Board Chair Rob Hutchins last Friday confirmed Jones's departure, saying it came "by mutual agreement."

Jones's temporary replacement is Frank Raimondo, who served in the same position until retiring about six years ago. Raimondo had been serving as alternate director for Area C (Cobble Hill), but tendered his resignation from that position to Dir. Gerry Giles last week in order to accept the interim CAO job.

Hutchins expects the process to fill the position permanently will take at least three or four months.

"The board has struck a committee to determine the recruiting process, but it hasn't met yet," he said. "It will meet in the near future."
