Missing woman needs medication

RCMP are on the lookout for a 51-year-old North Cowichan woman who has been missing since Saturday morning.

Julianna Thorne walked away from her care home on Stonehaven Place without giving any indication where she was going, and her friends and family haven’t heard from her since then. Her caregiver, Patrice Reagan, contacted the police just before 10 a.m. on Saturday to report her missing.

“A thorough search of locations where Ms. Thorne is believed to frequent has not turned up any clues as to her whereabouts,” said North Cowichan/ Duncan RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Krista Hobday.

Thorne suffers from medical conditions that require medication, which she did not have with her when she went missing. Thorne is described as a 51-year-old First Nations woman, 5-foot-1 (154 cm) tall, 98 lbs (44 kg), balding, with brown eyes.

Anyone who has information about Thorne’s possible whereabouts should contact the RCMP at 250-748-5522.
