RCMP seek witnesses to hit and run in Duncan on Aug. 31

White pickup truck struck cyclist on Trans-Canada Highway

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run incident that took place nearly two months ago.

On Tuesday, Aug. 31, around 3:14 p.m., a truck hit a bicycle in the 5800 block of the Trans-Canada Highway in Duncan and left the scene.

The truck is described as a white, two-door Chevrolet pickup with a headache rack. The licence plate is unknown.

Anyone who can identify the vehicle or driver, or with any other information about the incident should contact the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 and quote file No. 2021-13704, or call Cowichan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
