Public Notice - SITTING OF THE PARCEL TAX ROLL REVIEW PANEL

The 2024 parcel tax assessment roll has been prepared as required by the Community Charter and notices have been mailed to registered owners of properties being added to the assessment roll. The assessment roll is available for public inspection during regular office hours at the regional district office located at 175 Ingram Street in Duncan. The Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel will meet on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cowichan Valley Regional District in Committee Room 2 located on the 2nd floor, 175 Ingram Street, Duncan, B.C., to consider any concerns respecting the parcel tax roll.

Property owners may request a correction to the parcel tax roll only with respect to their own property and only for the following reasons:

• there is an error or omission respecting a name or address on the parcel tax roll;

• there is an error or omission respecting the inclusion of a parcel;

• there is an error or omission respecting the taxable area or the taxable frontage of a parcel;

• an exemption has been improperly allowed or disallowed.

In order for a request to be considered by the Panel, the request must be in writing and received at the above address, Attention: Finance Division, by 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024.
