November 17, 1932 - May 23, 2018
Alice Mary Meers of Duncan, BC passed away peacefully May 23rd, 2018 in the Cowichan District Hospital surrounded by her children. Mary was born in Lintlaw, Saskatchewan on November 17th, 1932. She later married John Meers and together they raised seven children.

Mary enjoyed volunteering and participating in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 53. Mary worked as a cook at the Cowichan District Hospital for many years until her retirement. 

She enjoyed knitting and made many creative gifts for her family, friends, and the less fortunate.  Family gatherings were large and often; Christmas, Thanksgiving, Summer BBQ's, Mary's home was always a welcome place for all the generations and filled with home-cooked food, love, laughter, games and many memories. 

She leaves behind a very large family who love her dearly.

Children: Joan Brewer (Bob), Grace Ceriko, Christine Fawcett (Don), Pat Rankin (Geordie), Ken Meers (Laurel), Alan Meers (Sandy), 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.  Predeceased by her husband, John, and daughter, Gail Williams.

Her practical, wise ways will live on in the legacy of her descendants as she taught them by example. Her life was a life of giving and loving in very special ways.

Greatly missed but never forgotten we will Celebrate the Life of this very special lady June 9 2018 at 2:00 PM at  H W Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road Duncan, BC
