It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alison Margaret MacKenzie on March 21, 2016 with family at her side. Alison was born on July 2, 1945 in Ocean Falls to Murdock MacKenzie and Vera Johnson.
She attended the Vancouver School of Art in the early 1960s and finished her art education in Calgary where she switched to commercial art.
Alison will be deeply missed by her partner M. Wayne Brown and his family; sons Michael Calihoo (Torrie), Glen Calihoo (Christine) and their families; sister Sandy (Widen) and Moira Foster (Walt) and their families; Aunt Molly Walls (Don), Aunt Janet MacKenzie and many cousins.
Alison played a huge role in the lives of her family and friends. She belonged to many groups such as Printmakers Only and her poker group and had many special friendships.
She was loved by so many and all who knew her are left with an abundance of great memories.
Alison was cremated by request and a gathering will be held in Lake Cowichan at Glen and Christine’s house at a later date.
